..Kayaking Tours with The killer whales of Johnstone StraitOur base Camp in Johnston Strait is the starting point for many of our Kayaking adventures. Situated just a 25 minute boat ride from Telegraph Cove our remote base camp offers many unique features and is without a doubt one of the best base camp locations on Johnstone Strait:

This is your home while you are on one of our tours. One of the most outstanding features on this tour is our permanently set up campsite. All tents are situated on platforms offering you a level of comfort and a dry home. We use high quality 4 person dome tents situated in various locations on a remote island to offer privacy, great views, shelter from wind and rain, and shade from the often hot summer afternoons. All our tents are within hearing distance of Orca Whale Blows, and of course the morning offer the sounds of birds, Sea Gulls, Seals and more.

Many of our guest enjoy the first few minutes of the day sitting outside their tents and getting a view of Cruise Ships passing in Johnstone Strait, or simply watching the morning mist burn off.
OUR BASE CAMP IS LOCATED ON A ISLAND |

That's right our base camp island is well situated in Johnstone Strait and it does offer many unique features not found with other tours. To start with our base camp is remote. While you will see other tours many do not venture to this island which is located just across from the famous rubbing beach of Johnstone Strait. This insures great privacy and the undivided attention of your tour guide.

Our base camp includes structures like cedar bathrooms, cedar shower stalls, sheltered cooking area and we are very kind to the environment.

This island offers many advantage points to view Johnstone Strait and other scenic wonders.

EVENINGS ARE SPECIAL IN JOHNSTONE STRAIT |
With large supplies of driftwood bonfires are a nightly tradition. Guest gather to chat, enjoy a glass of wine, or sip on a hot drink while others sit on driftwood seats catching the last glimpse of Orca's playing in the strait.

The sunsets can be quite incredible and as the sun fades away and the moon rises and you sit and listen to the night sounds of the Orca you are reminded that you are in a place of beauty and wilderness.
