Johnstone Strait is the summer home for one of the largest Killer Whale populations found on the Coast of British Columbia. During the summer months and up until mid Sept, Johnstone Strait attracts Whale Watchers, Researchers and of course kayakers. Telegraph Cove becomes the perfect meeting place and no wonder as Johnstone Strait is just minutes from its door step.

Owned by Discovery Expeditions, is one of the oldest tour companies in the area, and during the summer months our base camp in Johnstone Strait provides the perfect launching point for those that are looking for kayaking tours with Killer Whales.

1. Fantastic Base Camp that is on the migration path of the whales. Its not uncommon to see whales just a few feet from our base camp and our base camp is one of the best locations on Johnstone Strait
2. Private setting that is complete with washrooms and showers, private tent settings
3. Great Service - you will be picked up in Telegraph Cove with our new private Transport Boat and after a short safe ride into Johnstone Strait we will have you and your gear at our base camp and within approx one hour our guides will have you on the water in kayaks
4. Great Meals - all our guides perform the cooking details and each day you will find fresh seafood, pasta dishes, rice dishes, fresh fruits and salads on the menu
5. And of course the Whales - if they are in the area we will know as we have radio's, hydrophones all in place so we can hear them coming. And our base camp is just a short kayak trip to many of the spots that the Killer Whales frequent.
